Use ESCU tuning and filter macros to optimize detections
Splunk Security Content provides tuning and filter macros to optimize detections and reduce false positives. Each of these macros have the following nomenclature:
`<detection_name>_filter`
Follow these steps to use ESCU macros to optimize detections:
- Modify the macro definitions to adjust thresholds, allowlists, or other parameters based on your requirements.
- Test the modified detections to ensure that they are generating notables as expected.
