New features in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

This version has these new and changed features.

Dashboards

New feature or enhancement Description
Enhanced Windows overview dashboards Several improvements have been made to the underlying searches, vital metrics, and process tables for the Windows entity health dashboards to improve value and usability. These improvements enable users to visualize CPU utilization by core, disk utilization by partition, and helps identify the top contributing processes for high-resource utilization.

Entity Integrations

New feature or enhancement Description
Retire all entities enhancement You can now bulk retire all entities that are not actively sending data using the Retire Applicable Entities button on the Entity Management page. Instead of manually retiring individual entities, you can use this option to retire all entities that are marked for retirement. For more information, see Retire entities.

Service Analyzer

New feature or enhancement Description
Percentage adaptive threshold policy You can now select Percentage as a new adaptive thresholding option for your KPIs. Percentage thresholds calculate threshold values that are set percentages of the mean value. For more information, see Available KPI threshold templates.

Service Templates

New feature or enhancement Description
Include Entities setting for service templates The Include Entities setting is now available within service templates. The setting is set by the service you use to prepopulate your template. When enabled, entities can affect the health score due to the thresholding levels placed on the entity. Disable Include Entities if you want the KPI aggregate to determine the Service Health Score rather than a single entity. Changing this setting will affect all linked services. For more information, see Create a service template in ITSI.
