New features in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

This version has these new and changed features.

Entity Integrations

New feature or enhancement Description
BMC Remedy/Helix integration ITSI supports bidirectional integration with BMC Remedy for Helix incidents. For more information about the integration, see Integrate ITSI with BMC Remedy in the Event Analytics manual.

ITSI upgrades

New feature or enhancement Description
Prechecks table and status When you begin an upgrade to the latest ITSI version, you can now view the status of the migration jobs that run during the upgrade, providing additional context about the specific ITSI objects that may be causing issues with an upgrade and helping you to pinpoint issues. For more information about troubleshooting issues during an ITSI upgrade, see Prechecks fail during the upgrade.

Dashboards

New feature or enhancement Description
Upgrade Readiness dashboard enhancements You can now view the status of jobs that run to determine whether your environment is ready for upgrade on the ITSI Upgrade Readiness dashboard by checking the new Check completed and Check dashboard panels. For more information, see Use the ITSI Upgrade Readiness dashboard.

Service Insights

New feature or enhancement Description
Custom threshold windows You now have the ability to create custom KPI threshold windows to account for time periods when your KPI threshold values may vary due to seasonal events, helping you to avoid false alerts. For more information, see Create custom threshold windows.
Time zone for KPI threshold templates You will now see the time zone displayed as part of the titles for default ITSI KPI threshold templates to clarify which time zone is applied to the template. For example: 1-hour blocks every day (adaptive/percentage) (PDT) (UTC-07:00). When you clone threshold templates, you will also see the time zone displayed in the title for the cloned KPI threshold template. This update helps you confirm that you are viewing KPI data for the correct time period.
Enable local timezone for KPI threshold templates When you clone KPI threshold templates, you now have the option to enable the Local timezone toggle, which adjusts the time policy's time zone to match your local time zone. You can find the local time zone in Preferences.
