Removed features in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

This page lists computing platforms, browsers, and features for which IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) has deprecated or removed support in this version.

What does "removed" mean?

When ITSI removes support for a feature, browser, or platform, it means that the feature, browser, or platform no longer works with the ITSI platform, and customers must find an alternative.

Removed feature or function Description
Automatic lookup responsible for returning the service_name field for the itsi_summary index is removed when users upgrade to Splunk App for Content Packs 2.0.0. The original mechanism responsible for returning the service_name field for the itsi_summary index was based on an automatic lookup from the Content Pack for Monitoring and Alerting that would not reflect changes to ITSI service names and KPIs until the scheduled search that populates that lookup ran or was manually invoked. To ensure the accuracy of the service_name value that gets returned when searching the itsi_summary index, this automatic lookup is removed in Splunk App for Content Packs 2.0.0. Users now obtain service_name by adding an SPL command to the search. For more information, see Obtain service_name.
