Customize parallel coordinates

Use the Format menu to customize a parallel coordinates visualization. The menu has panels for the following settings.

General

Hide ticks and labels

You can opt to hide ticks and labels on axes. This option can be helpful if a dimension includes too many values to display clearly on the axis.

Maximum categories per dimension

Configure how many category values to display in each dimension.

Color

Select a color mode for the visualization.

Categorical

Use a different color for each category in the Y-axis dimension_field.

Sequential

This color mode is only available if the Y-axis dimension_field has numerical values.

Use numerical values in the Y-axis dimension_field to determine line color. Select minimum and maximum colors. Line shading follows a continuous spectrum between the minimum and maximum colors.
