Develop Apps for Splunk SOAR (Cloud)

The classic playbook editor will be deprecated in early 2025. Convert your classic playbooks to modern mode.
After the future removal of the classic playbook editor, your existing classic playbooks will continue to run, However, you will no longer be able to visualize or modify existing classic playbooks.

Export or import an app

To move an app from one instance to another, you'll export it from one instance and import it to another instance.

To export an app, complete the following steps on an instance of :

  1. From the Home menu, select Apps.
  2. From either the Configured Apps, Unconfigured Apps , or Draft Apps tab, locate the app you want to export.
  3. Edit the app.
  4. Select Download.

To import an app, complete the following steps on another instance of :

  1. From the Home menu, select Apps.
  2. Select Install Apps.

When you import an app, it is given its own unique identifier app id. Importing an app multiple times creates multiple draft versions of the app, each with their own unique identifier app id.
