What does this view show?
Several panels about search activity.
Interpret results in this view
About physical memory usage in this view: on Linux, the OS starts using free physical memory to cache filesystem resources. But memory for this is loosely bound, and the OS frees it up if a higher priority process needs it. The DMC reporting cannot discern how much memory is loosely locked up in this way.
The Deployment-Wide Median Disk Usage panel takes into account all partitions in use by each Splunk Enterprise instance.
What to look out for in this view
The common theme in this view is that instances are grouped by value ranges. One interesting thing to look for is outliers: instances that are not like the others. Another thing to look for is patterns that appear over time.
Troubleshoot this view
The historical panels get data from introspection logs. If a panel is blank or missing information from non-indexers, check:
