Troubleshoot Splunk TV
Check for unsupported visualizations and service connection if you run into issues with Splunk TV.
Why don't dashboards show more than nine panels?
Splunk TV supports nine visualizations with one visualization in each panel in a 3x3 grid. See Visualization support in the Splunk Cloud Gateway Release Notes manual for more information about supported and unsupported visualizations.
Why can't I see a dashboard or panel?
See the following suggestions to troubleshoot dashboard loading issues.
Unable to see a dashboard or panel
Configure the appropriate dashboard permissions to make dashboards visible in the Connected Experiences apps. See Configure Splunk Cloud Gateway and dashboard permissions for more information about configuring dashboard permissions for the Connected Experiences apps. Apps without these permissions will not appear in the Connected Experiences apps.
If the dashboard you're looking for isn't on the dashboard list, or a panel isn't loading, the dashboard may contain an unsupported visualization or configuration. See Visualization support in the Splunk Cloud Gateway Release Notes manual for supported and unsupported visualizations.
Unable to see dashboard list
If you can't see your list of dashboards, you might be running into a service connection error. See Troubleshoot Splunk Cloud Gateway Connection Issues in the Splunk Cloud Gateway Use Splunk Cloud Gateway manual.
Why do slideshows begin before all panels have loaded?
Search jobs start once the slideshow begins. Panels rotate every 10 seconds by default. You can adjust this in Settings.
Why is my dashboard display truncated on my TV?
The aspect ratio might not be optimal for Splunk TV. Adjust the aspect ratio in your TV settings.
