Create a TV collection in Splunk TV Companion

Save groups of TVs and their real world arrangements so you can quickly display dashboards.

Prerequisites

Complete the following prerequisites:

• Download Splunk TV Companion.
• Download Splunk TV on your Apple TVs, Android TVs, or Fire TVs.
• Log in to the same Splunk platform instance with the same Splunk user credentials as your TV. See Log into a Splunk platform instance in a Connected Experiences app in the Use Splunk Secure Gateway manual.
• Have permission to view dashboards from the Splunk instance your TVs are registered to.

Steps

1. Navigate to the TVs page.
2. Navigate to the Collections tab.
3. Tap + Collections.
4. Enter a collection name.
5. Select the TVs that you want to include in the collection.
6. Tap Next.
7. Configure the TV arrangement. This is how your TVs are arranged in the real world. Select Grid if your TVs are arranged in a grid, or Freeform if they're not arranged in a grid.
   If you want to display a single dashboard across multiple TVs, the TVs must be in a grid arrangement.
   
8. Tap Done. The collection appears in the Collections tab of the TVs page.
