Create a shortcut in Splunk TV Companion

Create shortcuts so you can quickly send multiple dashboards to their assigned TVs. Once you've assigned some dashboards to your TVs, you can create shortcuts out of them in the Shortcuts tab.

Prerequisites

Complete the following prerequisites:

• Download Splunk TV Companion.
• Download Splunk TV on your Apple TVs, Android TVs, or Fire TVs.
• Log in to the same Splunk platform instance with the same Splunk user credentials as your TV. See Log into a Splunk platform instance in a Connected Experiences app in the Use Splunk Secure Gateway manual.
• Have permission to view dashboards from the Splunk instance your TVs are registered to.
• Have dashboards assigned to TVs. See Display dashboards on TVs with using your iPad with Splunk TV Companion.

Create a shortcut

1. Navigate to the Shortcuts tab in Splunk TV Companion.
2. Tap + Shortcut.
3. Enter a shortcut name.
4. Select from TVs that currently have dashboards assigned to them.
5. Tap Done. The shortcut appears in the Shortcuts tab.

To a display a shortcut, tap the shortcut from the Shortcuts page.
