Download Splunk TV Companion for iPad to remotely control dashboard displays across multiple Apple TV, Android TV, or Fire TV screens.

The following are requirements to use the Splunk TV Companion app.

Splunk TV Companion requires the following apps:

Splunk Secure Gateway version 2.0.1000 or higher - See Get Splunk Secure Gateway in the Administer Splunk Secure Gateway manual.

The Splunk App for TV version 1.0.0 or higher - See Install the Splunk App for TV in the Install and Use the Splunk App for TV manual.

Splunk TV for Apple TV version 3.2.0 or higher, or Splunk TV for Android and Fire TV version 2020.10.16 or higher - See Download Splunk TV for Apple TV in the Download and Use Splunk TV for iOS manual or Download Splunk TV for Android or Fire TV in the Download and Use Splunk TV for Android and Fire TV.

Network requirement

Your iPad that's running Splunk TV Companion and TV that's running Splunk TV do not need to be on the same network. However, if you're displaying an enlarged dashboard across multiple TVs, the TVs must be on the same network.

Hardware requirements

You need an iPad and one TV per TV screen that you want to display dashboards on. The following are the minimum hardware and software requirements that support Splunk TV Companion:

Prerequisites

Complete the following before downloading the Splunk TV Companion app.

Download Splunk TV on your TVs

Make sure all devices are registered to the same Splunk instance with the same Splunk user credentials. See Register your mobile device to a Splunk instance to register your TVs.
