Download Splunk TV Companion

Download Splunk TV Companion for iPad to remotely control dashboard displays across multiple Apple TV, Android TV, or Fire TV screens.

Requirements

The following are requirements to use the Splunk TV Companion app.

Other app requirements

Splunk TV Companion requires the following apps:

  • Splunk Secure Gateway version 2.0.1000 or higher - See Get Splunk Secure Gateway in the Administer Splunk Secure Gateway manual.

Network requirement

Your iPad that's running Splunk TV Companion and TV that's running Splunk TV do not need to be on the same network. However, if you're displaying an enlarged dashboard across multiple TVs, the TVs must be on the same network.

Hardware requirements

You need an iPad and one TV per TV screen that you want to display dashboards on. The following are the minimum hardware and software requirements that support Splunk TV Companion:

iPad, any model iOS 13.0 or higher
Android TVs, Fire TVs, or 4th generation Apple TVs, for each of your TV screens Android TV 5.0, Fire OS 5.0, or tvOS 13.0 or higher

Prerequisites

Complete the following before downloading the Splunk TV Companion app.

Download Splunk TV Companion on your iPad

Here's how to download Splunk TV Companion on your iPad: Download Splunk TV from the App Store.

  1. On your Apple TV, launch the App Store.
  2. Search for "Splunk TV Companion."
  3. Select the Splunk TV app.
  4. Download Splunk TV.

After downloading Splunk TV Companion, log in to a Splunk platform instance using the authentication code provided in the Splunk TV Companion app. See Log into a Splunk platform instance in a Connected Experiences app in the Use Splunk Secure Gateway manual.
