Install the Splunk Add-on for AppDynamics
Note: Version 3.0.0 contains a breaking change. Upgrading a lower version of the add-on to version 3.0.0 will remove existing configurations.
- Determine where and how to install this add-on in your deployment using the table in the following section.
- Determine if any prerequisite steps are required before installing the add-on by using the table in the following section. Perform the required prerequisite steps.
- Install the Splunk Add-on for AppDynamics by downloading it from Splunkbase or browsing to it using the app browser in Splunk Web.
Distributed deployments
Unless otherwise noted, you can safely install all supported add-ons to all tiers of a distributed Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud deployment. See Where to install Splunk add-ons in Splunk Add-ons for more information.
