Get Started with Splunk Business Flow Tutorial

Splunk Business Flow is no longer available for purchase as of June 20, 2020. Customers who have already purchased Business Flow will continue to have support and maintenance per standard support terms for the remainder of contractual commitments.

Tutorial prerequisites

Before you start the SBF tutorial, make sure that you satisfy the prerequisites.

  • Install and set up Splunk Business Flow in your Splunk platform deployment. For more information, see Install Splunk Business Flow.
  • To complete this tutorial, you need both the sbf_edit_flow_model and sbf_set_visibility capabilities. Contact your administrator for access. For more information, see Configure roles and manage access to Splunk Business Flow.
  • This tutorial uses data from Buttercup Games, a fictitious online store. You need to have the ability to upload data into your Splunk platform instance.
