View and manage assets for floor plans in the Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR
With Splunk AR version 6.0.0, you can use your device's camera and LiDAR technology to capture a 3D mapping of a room, identify objects in the room, and associate assets in the room with Splunk data. A collection of related rooms is called a floor plan.
You can then use the 3D captures as a recognition method in Splunk AR.
Prerequisites
The Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR version 4.4.0 supports the floor plans feature. You can view and edit rooms in a floor plan once you've captured a room using the mobile app feature.
For mobile requirements and steps, see the prerequisites at Associate data with rooms using your device's LiDAR camera in the Use Splunk AR for iOS manual.
Steps
Here's how to view and manage assets for a floor plan:
- Navigate to the Floor Plans page.
- Select a floor plan.
- Select a room.
You can adjust and manage assets, view the room surfaces and objects, and manage the associated workspace.
Insert an asset ID, asset name, or workspace name as a form input in Splunk AR | About Splunk AR asset tags |
