Save Splunk AR workspace orientation with NFC tags
Use a detection image to save AR workspaces and visualizations exactly as you place them for every subsequent scan. Detection images provide Splunk AR with a visual reference, so that you can save the orientation of your AR workspaces with NFC tags.
Get a detection image from the Splunk App for AR.
Prerequisites
- Install the Splunk App for AR. See Install the Splunk App for AR.
- Ensure you have the appropriate permissions. See Configure Splunk AR roles and permissions for more information.
- Register an asset using an NFC tag. See Associate objects with dashboards in the Splunk App for AR.
- Have a printer and printing supplies to print the detection image.
Steps
- Navigate to the Assets tab in the Splunk App for AR.
- Select Get Tag > Get NFC URL next to an asset.
- Click Download to download the detection image.
- Print the detection image. Use a laminated 2x2 inch image for best results and durability.
- Paste the image to the NFC tag with its corresponding NFC URL.
The detection image is ready for scanning.
