Setup and Configuration Guide

For documentation on other necessary components for Splunk Edge Hub, see the Splunk App for Edge Hub documentation, Splunk Edge Hub mobile app documentation, and Splunk Edge Hub hardware documentation.

Access the Edge Hub Advanced Settings page

To make advance configurations to your Splunk Edge Hub OS, turn on the advanced configuration server to access the Edge Hub Advanced Settings page.

The Splunk Edge Hub Advance Settings page is accessible to any non-authenticated user because all user interfaces are delivered to the browser as a single unauthenticated bundle. The contents of these user interfaces are not considered sensitive data, therefore security is not impacted.

Prerequisites

Complete the steps at Get started with Splunk Edge Hub OS.

Take security measures

It's your responsibility as the customer to manage your own infrastructure and environment, and implement network administration policies that prevent denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and limit web scraping. For example, you can use rate limiting to control the rate of requests to devices.

  1. On your Splunk Edge Hub device, navigate to the Settings section.
