Add new indexes to the ITSI admin role

The administrator role for Splunk IT Service Intelligence is itoa_admin. This role needs access to indexes with data that you want to monitor in ITSI. Make this configuration change on each search head running Splunk IT Service Intelligence. If you have a search head cluster, perform these steps on one node and the Splunk platform replicates the configuration change to all nodes in the cluster.

  1. Go to Settings > Access controls, then click Roles.
  2. Click itoa_admin to edit it.
  3. Scroll down to Indexes searched by default.
  4. Click the names of the indexes that contain data collected by the Splunk Add-on for New Relic and the Splunk Add-on for AppDynamics to move them into the list of indexes searched by default.
  5. Click Save.
