Percent

Use a numeral plus the percent sign ( % ) to specify an exact percentage in text and tables. Don't use the word "percent". See the following example:

Do this Don't do this
10%
  • Ten percent
  • 10 percent

Use "percentage" as a noun when you're not specifying an exact quantity.
