American English spelling and phrases

Write in American English. The dictionary of choice for Splunk documentation is Merriam-Webster, so consult the dictionary if you question your spelling.

Avoid Latin and British abbreviations, spelling, and phrases, such as e.g., colour, and full stop, in your documentation. See the Usage dictionary for acceptable terms to use instead.
