Custom UI built in Splunk's app framework. Dashboards and forms are common examples of views. The Search app centers around a default search view that ships with Splunk.

Views are built from modules such as search boxes, fields, charts, tables, and lists.

Because they are permissionable, and can be applied to specific apps, views are considered to be a category of knowledge object. You can set up or change their permissions in Manager. Navigate to Manager > Apps.
