Managing schedules on Splunk On-Call for mobile 🔗

Configure the My Schedule feature on both iOS and Android systems. With My Schedule, you are able to easily view your on-call schedule and upcoming on-call shifts as well as schedule overrides right from your mobile device.

iOS devices 🔗

My Schedule on iOS 🔗

Select the calendar icon at the bottom navigation bar of the application to be taken to your on-call calendar. Grey lines indicate on-call shifts and the orange circles indicate the current day. Below the calendar, you will see details about your current and next on-call shifts.

You can access a weekly view by clicking into any particular day. Once there, you will be able to view schedules for the next six days.

Select a day to view the next six days' schedule.

Scheduling an Override - iOS 🔗

To schedule an override, select the My Schedule view, and then select the (+) icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Under My Schedule, select the plus (+) icon.

Next, you’ll be prompted to choose the timezone for which the override is to take place, the start time and the end time. Make sure to select Create when you’re ready to schedule your override.

Select Create to schedule the override.

To assign or to delete a scheduled override, swipe left and select Assign or Delete.

When a user has been assigned to your scheduled override, you will see blue lines appear below the grey shift lines on the calendar view, as well as details below indicating who picked up each shift.

A blue bar will NOT appear unless someone has been assigned to your scheduled override. Below the calendar, under Schedule Overrides, when your override has yet to be re-assigned you will see an empty blue circle for the unassigned override.

A blue circle indicates unassigned overrides.

When accessing the weekly view, you will see the override in blue and any relevant details, for example, who is covering your override and for what escalation policy.

Take a Schedule Override- iOS 🔗

To take a users on-call head to their profile and swipe left on the on-call shift you wish to cover and select Take Overrides. Global admins will have the ability to take override, assign, and delete overrides.

Android devices 🔗

My Schedule- Android 🔗

First, select the calendar icon at the bottom navigation bar of the application to be taken to your on-call calendar. Grey lines indicate on-call shifts and the orange circles indicate the current day. Below the calendar, you will see details about your current and next on-call shifts as well as your schedule overrides.

Below the on-call calendar are On-Call and Override details.

You can access a weekly view by clicking into any particular day. Once there, you will be able to view schedules for the next seven days.

Select a day on the calendar to see the schedules.

Scheduling an Override- Android 🔗

To schedule an override, click into the My Schedule view, and then press the blue (+) icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Select the plus (+) icon to schedule an override.

Next, you will be prompted to choose the timezone which the override is to take place, the start time, and the end time. Make sure to select Create when you are ready to schedule your override.
